"Eugene Onegin" by Alexander Pushkin
This lecture is devoted to Alexander Pushkin's Eugene Onegin, a verse novel that laid the foundation for the classical Russian novel history. The protagonist is analysed as well as the causes of his condition. Onegin's life is seen as ceaseless wandering, physical as well as spiritual, as moving that will never come to an end. The novel composition is focused on: two conversations being no conversations at all create literary balance.
